This is an AMAZING product. My pool was so green and I run a salt water system. Never have I seen this happen to my pool. I actually used the entire bottle in my pool. It took two days but it was completely gone. Not a trace. I would so recommend this product.

It wa s so dramatic that I had to immediately take a picture and post it on Facebook so my friends and family could see such a dramatic product fail. It is funny that the package even says right on the front that the product is non-foaming. The unfortunate part is that it took awhile for the foaming to subside. Given I put it in the Thursday before Labor Day, all holiday pool play resulted in bubbles, no matter how small the surface disruption. I think I will opt to forgo the minor savings of buying the cheap stuff and go back to the stuff I used to use.

This product worked wonderfully. I had yellow algae that was getting worse by the day. I had gone to Leslie's pool to try to find a solution. They only had 2 options: a special scrub tool with a product or chemicals that needed to be shocked afterwards both running probably $35+. I bought this product and did 2 treatments and within 3 days my pool is 98% back to normal and looking crystal clear. I only scrubbed the really bad spots 1X after using the product and BOOM. (see before and after photos) It also didn't screw up my balance in my pool. My tests were a tiny bit off after using it which I had to use 8ozs for each treatment. I was glad to find something I didn't have to buy 6 bags of shock or have a terrible time getting my pool readings right again.

I brushed the pool, turned the pool filter to circulate, shocked it (always shock at night) 2 days later, I treated with algicide. After another 2 days, I turned the filter to waste & vacuumed the pool. PSI was high when I turned on the filter, so I cleaned debris from the filter & trap & turned it to rinse. Added clarifier to the pool and filter and let it filter without the crawly. Then turned it back to filter with the crawly. It took a couple weeks but it’s finally clear. I’m sure I’ve probably done some things wrong and it might require another treatment but the pool’s no longer green or cloudy.

It's almost impossible to get rid of. Here's the problem with this product. Even a week or two a fter using it when the water is crystal clear and you think there's no trace of it left behind, I will turn on the Jets in the spa and the fumes that come out of the water are completely unbearable and wildly embarrassing. If there's anyone in the spa with me they are always coughing and complaining and asking me to turn the Jets off it's like toxic Steam. I've even thought about contacting the manufacturer because I'm guessing they need to put something on the bottle that says you can't use this with a pool that has a spa or hot tub or any kind of jets because clearly this stuff releases some kind of fumes or isn't meant to be used with water that gets heated or something. It is definitely bad news and I kid you not even a week or two after you put it in the water and my chlorine levels are basically at 0 right now so it is most certainly not my chlorine and this is the only thing I've add ed to the pool other than chlorine and a pound of shock every couple weeks. Algecide 60 (both this one and one I've purchased in the past from anoth er manufacturer) are the gold standard for keeping my pool algae free. Have tried cheaper products in the past, but the algae laughed at them. Pricey, but worth the cost. It's especially effective after a heavy rain (like the 6 inches in one day that we got recently.)
